Typography Poster
The typography poster project created a cohesive system of typefaces, developing my hierarchical skills. The Gloucestershire Cheese Rolling is a race where participants throw themselves down Cooper's Hill after a wheel of Double Gloucester cheese. This poster for the event relies heavily on the use of a grid and margins. A majority of my design attention was put towards typographic proportions and minimizing the use of white space. The color palette used in this design is based on a wheel of double gloucester cheese and the outdoor setting of the event. This use of complementary colors allows for strong contrast and simplicity throughout the design. The type manipulation featured on this poster was created with the use of a tittle from an āiā letterform. This manipulation brings character to the design, while maintaining a clean, unified look.

Revised
In the revision stage of this process, I made slight adjustments to the layout and consolidated my typeface choices. The revised design is more cohesive and readable as a result.
