This card design for the family of President Tessman is inspired by the home as a symbol of tradition, warmth, and familial values. Hearing from Brock, Kristin, and their daughter Leona inspired the inclusion of each family member’s interests into the artistic details of the piece; Leona’s immediate interest in flowers directed the foliage surrounding the home, while Kristin’s appreciation for the quiet, stillness of Bozeman winters is reflected in the nighttime setting. Brock’s admiration of the Art Deco era shaped the typography, adding elegance to the timeless composition. The color palette is influenced by classic holiday themes in combination with subtle use of Montana State University’s iconic blue and gold. At its heart, the design celebrates the beauty in the mundane, portraying the family gathered together inside the home—a tribute to connection, memory, and the community of Bozeman.
